The city that never sleeps had me eating, Fashion-weeking, and eating around the clock recently. In between runway shows and designer presentations, I pulled out my own bag of tricks by sliding into Raf’s, the buzzing months-old Nolita French/Italian restaurant from the the team behind Michelin-starred favorite The Musket Room, without a reservation! It lived up to its hard-to-get-into hype with its bustling bar, homemade bread and butter with olive oil, and tuna crudo, pictured below. The next night I attended a festive Shop My dinner at Torrisi, an even harder-to-get-into restaurant, with its three-hour wait for walk-in’s, that is quickly explained/justified by the first bite of zeppole. There were also delicious tried-but-true meals at Balthazar, Sant Ambroeus, Bar Pitti, and La Cabra (the breakfast croissants!).
