I’ve been to Miami almost too many times to count but my visit last weekend felt like the virgin voyage. Chalk it up to Miami’s maturation and (state income tax-free) momentum. According to census data, it was the fourth fastest-growing city in America last year, and the number one in wage growth in the nation (thanks in large part to recently re-located Citadel, Blackstone, Starwood Capital, etc). Everywhere I went—the Design District, South Beach, Miami Beach, the high seas!—was buzzing, bustling and booming reggaeton from dusk to dawn. And people were dressed. I didn’t feel like I was in Florida, for the most part: I ate meals that transported me to sea-breezy Santorini (Mandolin, so yum, below), to the heart of The Italian Riviera (Casadonna) and to spring break on a Hollywood movie set (Soho House Beach Miami). Other cool spots I checked out: Lucali (the best clams, ever), True Loaf, and Klaw. Next time I will hit Boia De, Walrus Rodeo, The Surf Club and the highly-anticipated, soon-to-open The Moore Miami.
I tried to dress up like everyone else in an iconic Prada shirtdress, a lace Sea maxi and (the most perfect) white button-down, a Mestiza sequin slip and a lightweight black blazer, a sheer Eliou sweater, a washable silk Lunya set, Left on Friday leggings (the softest, the most flattering), La Double J bikinis, Mother Denim tees, a nautical Rothy’s bucket bag dressed up with glitzy Parker Thatch charms, a compact but decadent cross-body Bottega Veneta, and, as usual, Adina Reyter statement baubles.
Ahoy, mate! My freshly-minted (4-weeks-in-the-making) abs were hand-carved by Sarah Wragge! Also out and about: J.K. Rowling’s $30-million dollar yacht (formerly owned by Johnny Depp), below. It’s Miami, baby! New York Fashion week coming up and I’m going—and you’re coming with. See you soon!
Yes, it's amazing--a forever wellness blueprint for life! I can rigidly stick to it--or not, but know that it works and is ideal health-wise.
